Vural Günal is an educator. With a background in public service Mr. Günal has the level of knowledge that law students generally do not have access to and has a gift for explaining the intricasies of subjects such as Capital Markets Law. Prior to joining Pekin & Pekin Mr. Günal held very senior positions in the Central Bank and Capital Markets Board. He was the advisor to the Turkish President for six years on the Istanbul Stock Exchange. Following an invitation to join Pekin & Pekin 15 years ago, Mr Günal leads the Advisory department advising banks, companies and the Capital Markets Board, and providing professional development resources for Pekin & Pekin lawyers. In addition to his legal work at Pekin & Pekin, Vural Günal offers his time to educate law students. He is an invited non-professor at Galatasaray University teaching Capital Markets law. He was also a lecturer on Tax Law, Foreign Currency Law and Capital Markets Law at the Health Administration College, Gazi University Banking Institute, the Istanbul Stock Exchange - Broker Education Program and Marmara University Banking & Insurance Institute. He is an accomplished author and has written nine books, the most current being in 2007 on Capital Markets Law and 2008 Banking Law.
