We spend a great deal of time at work and work plays a big part in who we are and how we behave. Pekin & Pekin understands that the key to a successful law firm is fulfilled employees and aims to make the Firm a place where people want to work and where they respect and value each other.

An international staff certainly contributes to our appreciation of diversity. The majority of lawyers are Turkish, a selection with dual nationality, most with overseas experience. We also welcome overseas lawyers on sabbaticals and traineeships, with recent joiners being from the US, Ivory Coast, UK and Germany. Our support staff come from a range of backgrounds and countries, currently Turkey, the US, New Zealand, Italy and the UK.
On the gender question the Firm traditionally has a higher number of female than male staff, a point of interest for international firms.

We cannot be the best without continuous development. The Advisory department is dedicated to the development of our lawyers, and each practice and support team has a training budget.

We also welcome several visiting lawyers each year looking to develop their knowledge of Turkish law the market, and to broaden their experience. Whilst helping them towards their future in law we also gain immensely from the sharing of experience, methods, skills and personalities.
Meet Irmak - Irmak took a year out to attend Queen Mary University London, studying for an LL.M in Corporate and Commercial Law.
Pekin & Pekin supports employees who wish to develop themselves personally. This may be in the form of sabbaticals and secondments, using their professional, language and cultural skills for the benefit of others, taking career breaks, further education and volunteering.
