Regulatory M&As  

Pekin & Pekin is heavily involved in regulatory filings and cross-border M&As, generally in the filing and preparation of regulatory applications and notifications, and the obtaining of the necessary permissions, approvals and consents. The main local authorities are the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency ("BRSA") and the Capital Markets Board ("CMB") in direct and indirect M&As where one of the parties is a local bank or financial institution. Transactions generally involve the incorporation, split and M&A of banks and financial institutions with the Firm acting on behalf of the international parties.

Incorporation of Banks and Financial Institutions

Pekin & Pekin advises on the incorporation of financial institutions and banks. The Firm has incorporated many first-of-a-kind regulated companies, and has been retained to advise on the conversion and acquisition of all of Turkish brokerage companies.
