The Regulation Amending the Regulation in Relation to the Transactions of Banks Subject to Prior Authorisation and Indirect Shareholdings in Banks was enacted on 23 January 2009 introducing new provisions with respect to the presence of Turkish banks in off-shore centres to the extent that the local capital requirements will apply not only to the banks' affiliates and branches but also to their subsidiaries and the joint ventures they are party to.
