Communiqué No. 2008-32/34 was amended on 11 July 2009. This minor amendment has enabled financing companies to grant foreign currency loans to Turkish residents pursuant to Article 11 paragraph 15 of Decree No. 32 Regarding the Protection of the Value of Turkish Currency (please refer to Legal Newsletter Q2).
