The Central Bank has issued Communiqué No. 2010/2 (published in the Official Gazette dated 20 January 2010 and numbered 27468), setting form requirements for cheque books and cheque leaves, laying down the statutory amount (applicable for the year 2010) to be paid by a bank to the holder of a dishonoured cheque and introducing a procedure to notify the Central Bank of individuals prohibited from opening such accounts.
