The Communiqué Regarding Principles on the Public Disclosure of Material Events (Serial No. VIII/54) was enacted on 6 February 2009 abolishing the previous communiqué on the same matter and introducing new provisions in relation to the public disclosure of material events along with the public disclosure of insider information and the means, scope, language and characteristics of such public disclosures. This Communiqué also bears provision as to the determining criteria for the consideration of events as material events to the extent that the discretion as to the determination of such are now vested in the companies, unlike previously where the events were listed and stated within the Communiqué. Furthermore, the CMB issued a detailed guide explaining the rudiments on the public disclosure of material events.
