The Communiqué on Principles regarding Lease Certificates and Asset Lease Companies (Serial III, No: 43) (published in the Official Gazette dated April 1, 2010 and No. 27539) has entered into force. In light of the Communiqué, the CMB has introduced “lease certificates” as a new capital market instrument. Lease certificates are used  as global investment instruments, similar in nature to “Sukuk” (defined as interest-free bonds). The CMB anticipates that lease certificates will find a prominent place among financing tools for private sector companies.
