The Electricity Market Licensing Regulation was amended on 20 June 2009. The amendments have introduced provisions with respect to license amendment fees, letters of guarantee, prior approval requirements for share transfers and equitable interest over shares, along with the abolishment of the prior approval requirement of Energy Market Regulatory Authority for the purpose of share pledges over shares in the licensed companies and for the issuance of bonus shares by the legal entity shareholder.
