The Electricity Market Licensing Regulation (published in the Official Gazette dated 4 August 2002 and numbered 24836) was amended on 30 September 2009. Amendments mainly focus on the time periods in relation to the obligation to submit the necessary environmental impact assessment (“EIA”) decision to the Energy Market Regulatory Authority for the purpose of projects subject to EIA evaluations as per the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulation. Amendments also include provisions as to the outcomes of negative EIA decisions and exceptions thereto.
