The Council of Ministers Decree No. 2009/14802 enacted on 16 March 2009 has introduced reduced special consumption tax rates applicable until 15 June 2009. Accordingly, as of 16 June 2009, a new Council of Ministers Decree (No. 2009/15081) inserted the amended rates for motor vehicles. The list of rates included in the recent Decree No. 2009/15801 raises the rates slightly to the level in force before the initial reduction of Decree No. 2009/14802.
